Bihar registered its fifth win on the trot, defeating Mizoram by six wickets in its final Plate group match to enter the knockout part of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy T20 match right here on Tuesday. Bihar completed with 5 wins from as many matches and topped the group with 20 points, adopted by Chandigarh and Nagaland (every 18 points). Requested to bat, Mizoram batsmen by no means bought going and crawled to 83 for eight in 20 overs.

Bihar qualifies for knockouts

Taruwar Kohli (33, 30 balls, 2 fours, 1 six) and Lalhruaizela (21, 36 balls, 2 fours) had been the one batsman to supply resistance as Bihar bowlers saved a decent leash. Bihar skipper Ashutosh Aman, together with his left-arm spin, led the best way by selecting up 4 wickets whereas gifting away simply 9 runs from his 4 overs. Leg-spinner Samar Quadri completed with two wickets.

Chasing 84 for victory, Bihar lost their openers early, however, Babul Kumar (37 not out, 34 balls, Four fours) noticed the staff residence.

In different matches on Tuesday, Chandigarh defeated Arunachal Pradesh by seven wickets whereas Nagaland beat Manipur by eight wickets.

At TI Cycles Murugappa ground:
