BCCI Confirms that the England tours of India 2020 have been postponed
On Friday 7 August 2020, BCCI (Board of Control For Cricket In India) Confirms that the England tour of India 2020 has been postponed due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.

India’s home series 2020 Postponed

As we know that before a few days back ICC (International Cricket Council) has already postponed the ICC men’s T20 world cup 2020 which held in Australia in October and November 2020, but now the BCCI and ECB (England Cricket Board) have confirmed that the England men’s limited-overs tour of India has been postponed till early 2021, which originally 3 ODI and 3 T20Is series to be played in the late September to starting October 2020.
These windows are also opening after the postponed of the ICC T20 World cup 2020.
The India and England series are one of the best battle series in the globe which was fully covered with a thriller so both cricket boards are decided that all formates matches have been starting at the early of 2021.

IPL 13th Date, Time & Venue confirmed

Finally, the IPL GC (Indian Premier League Governing Council) decided that the Vivo IPL  2020 will be played in the UAE ( United Arab Emirates) which runs from 19 September – 10 November

Background

On 2 August 2020 IPL GC Finally announced that the IPL 13th has been hosted in the UAE and the all matched will be played in Dubai, Sharjah, and Abu Dhabi subject to necessary clearness from the government of India.
On 2 Aug IPL GC held a video meeting and decided that this year Vivo IPL will be started from 19 September and the final will be played on 10 November 2020.

Vivo IPL 2020

  • Ipl 13th will be started from 19 September – 10 November 2020.
  • A total of 8 teams participated this year.
  • IPL 13th will be hosted in the UAE.
  • This is the 2nd time when IPL will be hosted in the UAE.
  • IPL 13th total will run for 53 days.
  • A total of 10-afternoon matches will be  started at 3:30 PM (IST) while the evening matches will be started at 7:30 PM (IST)
  • This tournament will be hosted under the bio-secure environment for a safe and successful IPL 2020 season.
  • The BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket India) invites bids for the team kit sponsors and official merchandising partner right under the tender process.
  • The terms and conditions governing the submission and estimate of bids including eligibility requirement which will be available from 3 August 2020 on receipt of the tender fee is 1,00,000 only, this process will be available till 26 August 2020.
  • Perhaps Chinese sponsors will be allowed in this tournament because no official news coming for prohibited Chinese sponsors.
  • In the IPL history, final will be played on the weekend day (Saturday/Sunday) but this time final will be held in the working day.
  • The franchise will leave for UAE on charter aircraft on 27 August 2020.

This time Women’s T20 challenge will also took place in the UAE and will include three teams with four matches to be played during the IPL Playoff week.

On Monday PCB ( Pakistan Cricket Board ) has announced our 20 players squad for the three-Test match series against England, while ECB ( England Cricket Board ) has also announced our 14 Players unchanged squad for the 1st Test against Pakistan which begins on 5 August 2020 in Manchester. we should also remember that this series will be the part of ICC World Test Championship 2021-2022.
England has announced shame 14 players squad which was played the last Test match against West Indies. All six fast bowlers who played a role in the 2-1 series victory over West Indies with only and one Dom Bess spinner.

Finally, white-ball cricket is also back with the start of the Royal London Series 2020, This series will start from Thursday 30 July 2020

Royal London Series 2020

This series will run from 30 July – 4  Aug 2020, schedule of this series will be already announced England will host the three-match ODI Series against Ireland which is the memorable series in the cricket history because this is the 1st ODI Series will be played during this COVID-19 Pandemic.
This series will be played behind closed doors in a bio-secure bubble just like England vs West Indies Test series. Both teams have already played two Intra warm-up matches before starting this series after that both teams announced our team squad on the basis of the warm-up match performance.
Members of the England Test squad against West Indies will not take part in this ODI Series. England has announced 21 players for this series, out of which 14 will be part of the main squad while seven will be reserves. 
England has announced that Moeen Ali named as Vice-Captain last week.
We should also remember that

This series will be the part of the ICC Cricket World Cup Super League, a 13-team competition from which the top seven sides qualify for the 50 Overs World Cup in India in 2023. Teams who miss out from the super league will paly wih the five associate sides in a qualifier series with the top two taking in the final spot for the ten teams tournament.

On Monday 27 July 2020 Finally, WIC (West Indies Cricket) has announced the full fixture for the CPL  (Caribbean Premier League) 2020 which held behind the closed doors in a bio-secure environment in Trinidad and Tobago from 18 August – 10 September 2020.

A few days ago WIC (West Indies Cricket) has announced the six teams player squad list but now they have also announced the 8th edition of CPL fixture which runs from 18 August to 10 Sep 2020.
This is the first big tournament held under this COVID-19 Pandemic.
Total of 33 matches will be played in this year which took place at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy
in Tarouba will host 23 matches including the semi-finals and final while the other 10 matches will host in the Queen’s Park Oval in Port of Spain.

The Hero CPL’s CEO Damien O’Donohoe, is excited for the upcoming season of the CPL 2020. This time CPL will be held different but the standard will be higher than always. We are hunger for seeing this upcoming CPL because live league sport has returned after a long peroid. So the interest in CPL will be higher than the ever. Will it being the first franchise T20 tournament to return.

On 11 July 2020 Cricket West Indies ( CWI ) has finally released the 8th editions schedule of Hero CPL ( Caribbean Premier League ) which starts from 18 August – 10 September 2020.

CPL 2020

In the eight editions of Hero Caribbean Premier League ( CPL ) total six-team participate in this event. All teams have successfully filled out their team list with both Caribbean and overseas players.
This time Hero CPL will be played in six countries due to the COVID-19 Pandemic Trinidad and TobagoSaint Kitts and NevisGuyanaBarbadosJamaica, and Saint Lucia.
On 10 July 2020, the local government gives its permission for the tournament to go ahead, but all the matches taking place at two venues  Trinidad & Tobago behind closed doors. 
A total of 33 matches will be played in this season.

The main point of this session

  • The 1st Indian player to play any other premier league.
  • Pravin Tambe will become the 1st Indian to play in the CPL.
  • Trinbago Knight Riders have signed Pravin Tambe.
  • Chris Gayle out of this season due to personal reasons.
  • Chris Gayle said that due to the lockdown I am not able to meet my family and my young child  St Kitts for a long time so I needed a break and I wanted to spend my valuable time with my family and my pretty young child.

    ICC men’s t20 WC 2020 Postponed
    Finally, ICC ( International Cricket Council) has been postponed the ICC men’s t20 WC ( World Cup) in Australia 2020 due to the COVID-19 Pandemic after the ICC Board meeting on Monday 19 July 2020.

    2020 t20 WC Postponed

    The biggest International global event the ICC men’s t20 WC 2020 has been postponed due to the COVID-19 Pandemic which held from October 18 – 15 November in Australia. After the second level attack of the COVID-19 Cases in the state of the Victoria on Monday meeting of the IBS Board ( The Commercial Subsidiary of the ICC) ICC also that the windows for the next three ICC men’s event have been held in 2021, 2022 & 2023  respectively so that we can once again recover from the loss of COVID-19.

    The three ICC Windows for the men’s event:-

    • The ICC men’s t20 WC 2021 will be held from October – November 2021 and the final will be played on 14 Nov 2021.
    • The ICC men’s t20 WC 2022 will be held from October – November 2022 and the final will be played on 13 Nov 2022.
    • The ICC men’s t20 WC 2023 will be held from October – November 2023 and the final will be played on 26 Nov 2023.

    If the situation is good then the IBC Board will also continue to evaluate the ICC Women’s Cricket WC 2021 in NZ ( New Zealand) in February.

    Our ICC chief executive Manu Sawhney also said that we are also taking broad and complex circumstances planning for doing this process because our 1st Priority has been to protect the health and safety for everyone who is involved in the sport.
    The decision to postponed the ICC men’s t20 WC 2020 has been taken after the careful discussion of all of the options available to us and gives us the best possible opportunity of hosting the successful t20 WC for fans around the world. 
    After the postponed t20 WC 2020 windows will be enabled for rescheduling lost bilateral and domestic cricket. This process has worked close to the government, Broadcasters, Partners, and medical experts to enable us to reach an overall decision for the good of the game and our fans.

    After postponed the ICC men’s t20 WC 2020 windows are enabled for IPL, Bilateral and domestic cricket.

    IPL 2020 may be held in the UAE during September – October. Our BCCI President Sourav Ganguly and secretary Jay Shah said that at the Apex Council meeting on Friday 17, July 2020 that once the t20 WC 2020 postponed than the BCCI will host the 2020 IPL in India if the situation is permitted for the playing otherwise they will shift 2020 IPL in the UAE.

    Finally, Cricket Australia ( CA) has announced the schedule for the 10th season of BBL (Big Bash League) which starting on Dec 3- Feb 6

    Background of BBL – 10

    On 15th Jul 2020 CA ( Cricket Australia ) has announced the schedule for BBL-10, which run from Dec 3- Feb 6. 
    A total of 61 matches will be played in this season over 2 months despite the COVID-19 Pandemic. We should also remember that the BBL-10 starting along with the IND vs AUS Test series. India vs Aus Test series will be also starting on 3 Dec which played in the day and night.
    The summer’s KFC BBL-10 will start 2 weeks earlier in comparison to the BBL-09. Adelaide Striker and Melbourne Renegades will be played the opening match of the BBL-10 on Dec 3 at The Oval while the final of this tournament will be played on Feb 6.
    CA ( Cricket Australia ) has also said that the in-season of BBL-10 takes five days to break from Dec 11-15 because the Ind VS Australia day-night Test match will be played during this time.

    After missing the 2nd test match against WID he felt deep pain.
    He has been dropped from the 2nd test match of this series against West Indies after breaching the Bio-Secure Protocols.

    ECB ( England Cricket Board) Statement

    On Wednesday 15 July 2020, ECB released a 13 men’s squad for the 2nd Test match which starts on 16 July at Manchester. In this squad, England fast bowler Jofra Archer has also included.
    On 16 July 2020, ECB released a statement at 8 AM on the early morning that the Archer will go to the self-isolation for five days and he will undergo two COVID -19 tests in this period.
    After the two negative results, he will be permitted to join the squad again.

    Bio-Secure Protocols

    This is the 1st International series during the COVID-19 Pandemic so ICC making a new rule before starting the International cricket
    According to the Bio-Secure Protocol or bubble, all players undergo for 14 days quarantine before starting the match. If players go under this bubble once time then he will remain inside this bubble till the series is over.”

    He has been breech the bubbles rules because he has been traveling between the Ageas Bowl and Emirates Old Trafford which these places are out of Bio-secure protocols.

    ” I am extremely sorry for this mistake. I am not only going to a dangerous situation while the whole team members and management staffs go in danger situation, but I will also fully accept the punishment given by the ECB and I want to say for everyone please follow the Bio-Secure rules.
    I feel deep pains for the missing the crucial 2nd Test match. I say again I am sorry for this mistake.

    2nd Test Match Review

    James Andersen and Mark Wood have been rested for the 2nd Test match while Joe Root returns in his squad on 15 July 2020.
    The 2nd Test match will be starting on Thursday 16 July 2020 at Manchester. So on Wednesday 15th, July ECB has been announced a 13 men’s squad. All eyes on the Joe Root that will England be able to equal the series after losing the 1st match of this series at Southampton.

    The 15th (2020) edition of the Asia Cup tournament will be postponed due to the COVID -19 Pandemic which would have been played in September 2020. The next edition of the Asia Cup tournament will happen on June 2021in, Sri Lanka.

    Official Announcement

    On Thursday 9 Jully 2020, the ACC ( Asian Cricket Council) finally announced that the Asia Cup 2020 will be postponed due to the COVID-19 Pandemic and he also says that the next edition of this tournament will be held in Sri Lanka.
    Even before releasing the ACC notification our former Indian captain Saurab Ganguly had already announced on Instagram live conversation with Vikrant Gupta (Sports Tak) that the 2020 Asia Cup will be canceled.
    Sri Lanka will host the rescheduled edition in the next year in June 2021.

    Some memory of Asia Cup

    • It was established in1983 when the ACC was founded.
    • Originally this tournament held in every two-year interval.
    • The 1st edition of the Asia Cup was held in 1984 in Sharjah.
    • This is a men’s ODI & T 20Is tournament format.
    • India is the most successful team in this tournament which won 7th times of Asia Cup titles.
    • India is the current champion of this tournament.
    • Both Sri Lanka players included in the name of most runer and most wickets, Sanath Jayasuriya (1220 runs) and Lasith Malinga ( 33wickets) respectively.
    • Lasith edition of this tournament was played in 2018 in UAE.

    This will be the 2nd time when Asia Cup has been canceled, for the 1st time canceled due to the political issue in 1993 while this time cancels due to the COVID -19 Pandemic in 2020.
